Renaissance design is a Pan-African multidisciplinary design agency, which specialises in the conceptualising and creation of modern, ancient African-inspired symbolic Patterns for various brands. Our services and collaborations have extended into the fields of Interior, Fashion, Product design and custom design services for corporate & hospitality brands.

We believe in the preservation of African history through creating modern visual archives and documenting the continent’s heritage and wealth, which lives in its people, ancient tribal sounds, textures, patterns, dance, architecture and natural surroundings. This is why research through books, documentaries, and sit-downs with Monarchs is extremely crucial to our design process.

Founded by GLORINAH KHUTSO MABASO, a South African Interior Designer who found her purpose in Textile design. As an academic design thinker, she has taken on the challenge of becoming the mouthpiece to the ancient world, using symbolic pattern design as her chosen visual language.

Every Pattern designed has a story which embodies the essence of ancient Africa translated visually, and the impact tends to have an emotional and sometimes spiritual effect. This is our vision of the REBIRTH of Africa.
